*前作より３年が経過、８０’ｓ最後のアルバム、初来日、完全ＣＤ対応、ビル・ワイマンさん最後のアルバム、ミックさんとキースさんの仲直りと色んな意味で区切りの作品かもしれません。この頃になると洋楽シーンも驚くような新しい音楽も出なくなってストーンズをちくちくと刺激するような音も無くなってこのアルバムお決まりの必殺カバーも無く、時のゲストも無く、ストーンズだけのストーンズ・アルバムとの感が強いです。けっこう内省的かもしれん。前作までのサウンド・クオリティの上昇をしっかり身に付けてもうがっしりした音、各楽器の音もかっこいいのだ。曲もキラー・シングル有り、地味ながら染みてくるの多し。何が文句があるのだ。あるとすれば何だろう。街中で流してもうへぇ何これって非難されるようないかがわしさ、やばさが無くなっちゃったことかな。ファンだとかゆうとえーあの人たちのーって人格疑われてしまうような。演奏・アレンジもカチっとはまりすぎて何やってんだーかっこわるーでもそこがたまりませんってゆう例の嬉しさがどこに行っちゃったのとゆうとこが文句なんだけど、捨て曲はちゃんとありますが[(^o^)]。ストーンズが孤独になっちゃたよって寂しさがふつふつと。地味ながら他の誰にも出来ないグルーブを作ってくれたビル・ワイマンさんがこれで最後とゆうのはたまらん何かが終わってしまったと思うアルバムなのであります。塞ぎようのない大きな穴が開いてしまった。 (マスター)2003.09.28 |
